how I started...

Hello! I'm Stella, the face behind the oven at Bread by Stella. My baking journey began in the kitchen of my grandma and mom, where I, as a little girl, found my love for creating delicious treats.

My grandma owned a small bakery called Toko Raos in Bogor, Indonesia, while my mom shared her baking expertise through teaching cooking classes. I remember helping my mom during these classes. I took it seriously even as a young helper! Those early experiences shaped me into the baker I am today, and the sense of pride in mastering the art of cooking and baking has been with me since.

When I moved to the United States, my passion for baking blossomed further. After work, I would bake to my heart's content, sharing my creations with coworkers and friends in the community. Baking became a representation of the love and passion I poured into every recipe, making it a truly special experience.

Now, I'm turning my dream of being a full-time baker into a reality. Whether I'm crafting loaves for my family or for you to savor, each creation is infused with the same enthusiasm and affection. The idea that I can deliver the fluffiness of freshly baked bread to others is a dream I'm excited to turn into reality.
